The model of exporting software abroad is still quite new in Vietnam, although it has appeared for a long time in developing and developed countries worldwide. As the first enterprise to develop from this model, Hitek Software is extremely proud that this form of business has inspired many enterprises to develop technology in Vietnam. Starting with only five freelance programmers with a new working mindset, Mr. Tran Anh Khoi – Founder and CEO of Hitek Technology Group Joint Stock Company, has led the “brainchild” Hitek Software to develop as it is today. It is known that Hitek Software is a leading software exporting company abroad in Vietnam – specifically the Korean market – an extremely developed technology country. Obviously, their requirements for technology products are very high.
Having gone through 4 stages to reach the current almost successful step, in this sharing session at VOH FM87.7MHz, Mr. Tran Anh Khoi will share more about the second stage – the stage of the first milestones to create Hitek Software. The first success that can be mentioned is that Hitek Software is fortunate to own a human resource, mostly Gen Z. This young generation is passionate about challenges and not afraid to face difficulties in asserting themselves. Even Mr. Tran Anh Khoi is also a person of the late Gen Y generation, so he also possesses a creative, innovative mindset. And more than that, family is the primary motivation for Mr. Khoi to create this brainchild for himself. Regarding the question of whether Vietnam has a competitive advantage in technology in the 4.0 era, Mr. Khoi gave the following practical arguments: Although the technology sector in Vietnam cannot compete with leading countries in information technology development such as the US – a place that gathers all the giants in the technology industry, documents related to technology also originate from here. However, Vietnam is considered a leading country in technology development. Vietnam’s difficulty competing in this field is probably with countries with billions of people like India. In India, the high population density combined with a fairly developed technology industry and the standard of living in some cities here are also equivalent to Vietnam, which are the reasons why India is one of the biggest competitors in the software production sector.
Therefore, Hitek Software’s long-term competitive strategy will be Best Cost, which means that instead of competing with low-cost companies, Hitek Software will compete with the market of quality manufacturing companies with high prices. Hitek Software’s prices will always be the most competitive, with quality that is not inferior to that of top technology companies. With a short-term target strategy, Hitek Software will only focus on customers that competitors can hardly think of. Although the language barrier is still a big problem, fortunately, Hitek Software’s staff is proficient in reading and writing English. In addition, the high technical level, constantly improving every day, is a great advantage that helps Hitek Software not be inferior to any competitor.
Another thing to be proud of is that customers have recognized the capacity of Hitek Software’s staff. The Hitek team’s technical skills are higher than those of other foreign teams, specifically some programmers in Korea. The development of the software production sector in Vietnam can be considered a premise for the technology industry in Vietnam to reach a new level. Soon, Vietnam’s technology sector promises to be extremely explosive with the invasion of the virtual universe metaverse and artificial intelligence AI.
